Statcom Systems can help the building owner or occupier prepare the Annual Maintenance Statement (Form 56) as required by the Building Regulations 2004. The Annual Maintenance Statement must be displayed in a conspicuous location near the building entrance. Go to www.wst.tas.gov.au/building and search “form 56″ to download a copy of the Approved Form 56.
Owners of all commercial and public buildings built before 1 July 2004 have until 14 July 2006 to comply with the Building Regulations 2004 requirement for the display of the first Annual Maintenance Statement. Non-compliance may result in fines of $10,000 or $50,000 for individuals or companies.
